Turquoise & Seed Pearl Brooch in 9ct Gold - Secondhand

A Victorian eighteen stone oval cabochon cut turquoise and seed pearl laurel leaf wreath style brooch in 9ct gold. The brooch has a pin and hook fastener. 

In the Victorian era turquoise symbolised good luck, fortune and prosperity while seed pearls represented purity and innocence, Pieces of jewellery such as this were often given as 18th or wedding presents.
