Moonstone, Pearl and Garnet Austro Hungarian Pendant - Secondhand

An Austro Hungarian round cabochon cut Moonstone, round faceted garnet, seed and pear shape pearl pendant in silver gilt.  Comprising the central cluster of a moonstone surrounded by a border of seed pearls with a two garnet and one moonstone (twelve stones in total) alternating open outer border.  Above is the scrolling pendant loop set with a moonstone and below is suspended a drop shape pearl.  

Austro Hungarian jewellery used a number of influences from within the empire such as Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic but also those that it bordered such as Italy, Germany and Poland to creat a unique and recognisable style of it's own.  Most of the pieces we see such as this pendant date from 1870-1900.
